Review: The Great Deceiver
If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the knowledge that you have access to the power of God’s grace - an immense power that surpasses everything.
This week’s review is for the film, The Great Deceiver, which is about the tactics Satan uses to separate us from God.
This short film is filled with promises from the Bible, testimonies and truth about the devil’s methods of deception.
I liked how one man described that he had a hole in his heart, that was shaped in a form only God could fill. He knew this because he had tried to fill this hole with things from the world like alcohol, drugs, etc. But it was only when he had no where else to go, that he looked to God and found that God filled the hole perfectly.
Praise the Lord!
All aspects our our lives are mentioned, in the context of God’s grace, which reminds me of this month’s book review, for the book, The Names of God, by Marilyn Hickey. The chapter this month is Jehovah Rophe - our healer. Jehovah Rophe can fill our every need, if we let Him.
Some of scripture referenced in, The Great Deceiver:
Ephesians 6:10-18 - how we arm ourselves in this spiritual battle
Mark 6:30-31 - rest in the provision of God
Matthew 11:28-29 - Jesus speaks of looking to Him to take our burdens and find rest for our souls.
Luke 18:2-.8 - speaks of the persistence we ought to have, when seeking the Lord
Romans 8:26 - how the Holy Spirit prays on our behalf, when we don’t know what we should prayer for, in our anguish.
Isaiah 53:4-5 - Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and our restoration.
This short film is packed with scripture, biblical advice, testimonies and encouragement. I encourage you to watch it.
Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
