If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the comfort that the LORD will never leave you or forsake you.

This week’s review is for the behind the music testimony of Josh Snodgrass, through his latest album, Even when the Sky Falls.

Description

Stories about the songs on my new album "Even When the Sky Falls".  I thought I'd share my experiences that led to these songs and the testimony of God's goodness in the midst of the hard stuff we encounter in life.

God crossed my path with Josh when I was looking for music for the Days Before the Sabbath programming for Sabbath Radio.  Josh’s instrumental guitar music is blessed and Sabbath Radio is blessed to have this Christ-centered music playing each week.

I acquired a few songs that Josh and his wife sing together and was excited when he announced a new album with vocals.  His wife helps with vocals and his son plays percussion.  The result is relaxing music, with powerful messages.

In the Behind the Music, video, Josh gives his testimony about many aspects of the Christian walk.  He talks about the challenge of church attendance numbers, trials and his own challenges.

It struck me when Josh said that every missing person from church service is an important story.  It reminds me of parts of my own journey when I stopped attending church services. I like and agree with his conclusion as to why we should still attend.

I really appreciate what Josh had to say about the missions God gives us. No matter how small we think they are - they matter and God expects us to finish them, for His glory.

Speaking of glory, Josh mentioned the phrase, "glory parasite". I related to Josh’s story and am convinced God put an obstacle in my way for me returning to playing the piano.

Behind the Music - Even When the Sky Falls, gives honest, humble testimonies about the difficult yet rewarding journey of being a Christ-centered Christian. I am reminded of Psalm 46 - a powerful psalm about how we relate to God during trials.

After watching the video I went to Spotify to listen to the album and have been listening to it since.  I had already downloaded the songs for Sabbath Radio and am looking forward to including them in the next song rotation (in a couple of weeks).  Praise the LORD!

You can find Behind the Music - Even When the Sky Falls on the YouTube link in the podcast notes. Josh gives links to the music under the video.

May God bless you richly when you watch the video and listen to the music.

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
