Review: Darwin's Secret
If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the word of God - the truth.
This week’s review is for the program collection, Declaring God’s Wonders, by Paul Veit. The episode is called Darwin’s Secret.
Description
The theory that we were made in the "image of an animal" has devastated so many, including real humans who were proposed as missing links. Paul Veit examines the horrible history of evolution and the dehumanizing of man while also taking a look at followers of Christ who have upheld that all men were created in the image of God.
This is a sobering tale of the depths of evil and the lengths the devil will go to try and separate God’s created beings from Him. There is a lot of information and I was certainly not aware of the whole account of the proposed missing link.
But Christ has given us grace and hope. This program references many Bible verses. I will leave you with a few of them.
Mark 8:35: For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
1 Corinthians 2:9: But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Darwin’s Secret uses the truth of scripture, to expose the lies of the Theory of Evolution, as well as accounts of the attempts of people in history to make evolution a reality. Thankfully, it also includes accounts of missionaries God gave grace to follow His word and promises, to bring hope to those who were going to be left behind.
My Bible verse today says, Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a lamp to my path. Psalm 119:105.
Praising the Lord for giving us His word! To God be the glory, in Jesus’ name.
I look forward to reviewing more episodes from the Declaring God’s Wonders collection.
Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
