The Heavens Declare - Part 2 (Challenges to the Big Bang)
This week’s review is for the program, “The Heavens Declare: Part 2, Challenges to the Big Bang,” which is created and produced by Kyle Justice.
The experts present challenges to the Big Bang theory and why the Biblical worldview fits the evidence much better.
This episode introduces scientific challenges to the Big Bang theory. The experts address the suggestion by Christians that God could have used the Big Bang and why there are many reasons to reject that idea. They finish off the episode by talking about why the Biblical model works better with the evidence and how we can reconcile science with the Bible.
Our presenters call out the Big Bang theory for what it is: a cunning plan, disguised in a theory, to promote the rejection of God. I like how Dr Lisle said, “ let’s be clear about that.”
Lisle brought up two keys points in modern science
1. People who believe in the creation are ridiculed
2. Science, based on the Big Bang Theory, is taught as fact in most institutions. It’s the norm now. It claims all kinds of theories without having any way to prove them.
Isaiah 43:7 is referenced as to who created the universe and why
Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
We can also look at the creation account in the beginning of Genesis 1, that explains who made the universe and the time line: God (and the being that would be born as Jesus in this world) and it was all created in six days, with the seventh day used as a day of rest.
I like how the presenters acknowledge that many people, including Christians, are often intimidated by scientists, who push the Big Bang Theory agenda. I like how they stress that the Bible is our authority, not a group of individuals who have no solid foundation for their belief.
I also like how the presenters read scripture which answers the basic questions: Who made the universe, why am I here, who am I? God gives us those answers in His word. But we have to actually read the Bible in order to know what God has revealed to us.
One of the presenters referenced Mark 10:6
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. Which means the Big Bang cannot be combined with the creation account.
The men of science in this series show how important it is for people to take a stand for the authority of their Creator, and not be swayed or intimidated by a group of people who are rebelling against the Creator of the universe, whether they are aware of their rebellion or not.
The presenters are humble, in that they don’t pretend to understand everything. They give God the glory for His wisdom. They are just doing what God meant us to do, study God’s work, using his Word as the foundation.
There were a lot of things I didn’t understand in this episode. Science talk can sound pretty complicated, however, there is a sentence that is simple enough for all to understand: In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
SUMMARY
The Heavens Declare is a series that glorifies our Creator by defining Science correctly - the study of God’s work. Part Two contains many interesting facts and theories about the universe, using the Bible as its foundation. It very effectively challenges the Big Bang Theory by referencing the ultimate authority on the origin of the universe - the Word of God.
