Review: 7th Street Theater (The Man of My Dreams)
If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with joy in the Lord.
This week’s program review is another episode from the 7th Street Theater series. The episode is called, The Man of My Dreams. I have done many reviews on the 7th Street Theater episodes - check out our podcast or blog for the episode names.
Description
Kelly envisions what it would be like to be married to famous and successful people.
This is another thought provoking 7th Street episode that challenges us to see past outward appearances.
1 Samuel 16:7 says,
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
This account was when Samuel was looking for the next king to rule the children of Israel. But we can also ask ourselves, what values are we using to choose a wife or husband?
This episode shows how looking only at superficial values like how much money someone makes, how good looking they are, etc. can lead us to accept the values of this world, instead of the values God has outlined in His Word.
It’s been a while since I have seen an episode from 7th Street Theater. It was really nice to delve into the archives again.
Thank you for reading to this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
